We had a couple of days here and it was probably the most peaceful time we've ever had. The off grid set up matches the location perfectly and helps you unwind into the scenery. There are lots of little details in the cabin and garden which really show the care that's gone into creating this calm oasis. The home cooked food was superb and we felt really looked after, with all the privacy we needed to enjoy the experience: stargazing with a firepit, relaxing in peace, the Milky Way and night sky looked incredible with no light pollution. Highly recommended.

This was our 2nd time visiting Crackpot and it didn’t disappoint. The cabin was beautifully romantic and Em and I had a wonderful time exploring the local wilderness. There are rivers, streams, caves and woodlands within minutes of leaving the front door. We took a trip up Gunnerside Gill, well worth a trip with its ancient mines and peaty brown river cutting through the valley. The pizzas that Emmanuela made were to die for. We also had olives and bruschetta which was lovely! This is a very special place in the world, let alone the Dales, with two wonderful hosts ❤️💍 Thank you and we will see you again I am sure!

Fantastic place to stay and fantastic hosts. We got homemade dinner and breakfast delivered to our little cabin, what a treat ! We definitely recommend this place. We only spent one night there but it felt like a proper holiday. Would want to come back for sure.

I booked Emanuela’s as a surprise for my sister’s 30th birthday with her partner. She couldn’t have given higher reviews of her stay. She had the most amazing time, said the hosts were unbelievably hospitable and helpful. They had a range of homemade bread and other foods which they said was incredible. Couldn’t be more grateful for how amazing they made my sisters birthday feel. Thank you!

We had a great night at the cabin - it’s so beautiful and peaceful. The cabin has everything you need to switch off for the night. Emanuela and Karen were so friendly and helpful. Will 100% be back!

Both Emanuela and Karen were amazing hosts. They were super friendly and made us feel at home. They provided great hospitality,serving beautiful home made food, I would recommend their cheese board!

The environment is so peaceful with an amazing view, including a sky full of stars at night. The lodge is super cosy inside and beautifully decorated.
